My entry for the 2012 Sketchbook Project. Finally, finished and mailed off. Whew!

HUGE thanks to my buddy Erin Ellis for scanning all of the artwork and saving me literally hours of color-correcting that would have been necessary had I used a camera in my low-light apartment to capture the images.

San Francisco Center for the Book offers an affordable ($40) three hour long get-your-feet-wet introduction class, so I jumped in. It was fun, fascinating, and the people I met who work and teach there are just great.

a hoot of owls

Many of my friends received one of these odd-eyed little ornaments as holiday presents. If you'd like one for yourself, I have some available in my Etsy store for purchase.
